4 Best Plan To Print Cheap Postcards
ByJanice Jenkins
The best plan to print cheap postcards is to do four very simple but important things. In my experience in postcard printing, these four techniques will always cut costs and still leave you with great looking color postcards. Cool right? So let me tell you about these four great techniques in cheap postcard printing.
1. Whole sale printing.
The first technique is something that should be quite familiar to you. This is the concept of whole sale or bulk printing. If you have not heard of this concept yet, it is basically the way the price of a printed thing decreases the more of it you print (in a per piece basis). So basically this means that you get a greater discount of the postcard printing price quotation the more postcards you print. That is why when you plan on printing something like a color postcard; it is good to print a little more than you need just so that you have extra pieces at less the cost.
2. Choosing the cheapest postcard material.
Another good plan to lessen the cost of postcard printing is to choose the cheapest postcard material. While of course this can lead to a less than ideal look for your postcard, cheap materials will of course go a long way with a limited budget. So if you choose just plain uncoated postcards, with only color on one side, you should get the cheapest quotation imaginable for your print postcards. It may not be the best kind of postcards, but it will be the most affordable.
3. Limiting your colors.
Another great technique to get postcards cheap is to limit your use of colors. If your design only requires two colors, such as red and green for your logo, then you can ask your postcard printer to only print “spot” colors of those two. This means that they will only use inks with those inks and not the full color CMYK mix type colors that are more expensive. It is possible to save 10-20% of your printing costs this way.
4. Designing them for free.
If you are cunning, you can also try to design your business cards for free. Yes! It is totally possible to do this and not pay expensive talent fees for graphic design. You can hire an art or graphic design student at a local college to do the design for you. He or she can be an Intern for you, or you can say that he or she can use the completed design as part of a portfolio. Most students will jump at this opportunity and do it for free. With the energy of youthful creativity on your side, all for free, you can never really go wrong.
So that is the plan for cheap postcards! Quite easy really if you ask me, so do not get stuck with high postcard printing costs if you have to. There is always an alternative plan.
