Blake Incarcerated... Again
Let's just recap on Blake's year shall we? In early 2008 the lanky star was serving time in the slammer awaiting trial on charges of inflicting grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice. After his trial in June, Blake was found guilty and wasn't released from prison until late November, after which he was promptly sent to a rehabilitation centre in Surrey for six weeks. After failing a drugs test at the clinic, Blake escaped and went to visit Amy at a private hospital where they had some goodbye "fun" (if you get what we mean). And now he's back in prison until god knows when. What a year.

Boy George, He's Guilty!
Do you know what the former Culture Club singer was found guilty of? Well apparently Boy George falsely imprisoned a male escort then beat him with a metal chain when he tried to flee his London flat following a naked photo shoot. Yes that sentence really did just happen. The star will be sentenced officially this January, and it's expected that he'll be serving a lengthy stretch inside. That sounded filthy, and it really wasn't meant to.

Diana & Eggnog Forever
Did you laugh as much as we did when Eoghan Quigg dramatically ran on stage to hug Diana Vickers, mid-song, after she'd been voted off the X Factor? We bet you did. To be quite honest with you, we were never entirely convinced of the authenticity of their relationship, but in the lead up to the competition's final, during a press conference, Simon Cowell let slip: "they're just two kids in love". So, are they a real couple or was it all just a crude publicity ploy to boost ratings and get people voting? Only time will tell.

Lily Allen Vs. Katy Perry
Earlier this year Katy Perry started a little war of words with Lily Allen when she said "I'm like a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinner version of Lily Allen!" Meow, get that girl a saucer of milk! So what did Lily have to say in retaliation? Well speaking on a radio show in December the outspoken singer announced: "It's like, you're not English and you don't write your own songs, shut up!" Well said Lily, you certainly showed her.

We were hoping for a long-standing celebrity feud between the pair, but sadly a few days after Lily made her scalding remarks, Katy Perry decided to diffuse the situation by offering an explanation of her words: "I was just kind of joking and trying to be funny. I didn't mean anything by it. Comedians are not necessarily to be taken super seriously." Is Katy Perry a comedienne or did we miss something?

Return Of The Winehouse
After spending nearly a month in a private rehabilitation clinic in London, we breathed a massive sigh of relief when we spotted a healthy looking Amy Winehouse frolicking on a beach in the Caribbean with a group of her pals. Will Amy stay clean and healthy in 2009? Well, we certainly hope so but we're not holding our breath.

Gosh it's been a shocking year hasn't it?! So much has happened! Amy Winehouse went into rehab more times than we care to remember, Peaches Geldof had an alleged overdose, eloped then moved to America, Heath Ledger died and Britney Spears was sectioned, then just a few months later she made a surprising, and very successful comeback.
