Pancreatic cancer is typically diagnosed after the above symptoms are either detected by the patient or the supervising doctor. After the indicators are evaluated, liver function tests and tests for CA19-9 - a marker for pancreatic cancer - are often performed.

The first step in beating pancreatic cancer is empowering yourself with knowledge of how cancer works, pondering the critical thinking of some field experts who are not apart of "the cancer industry," and learning to correct the imbalances in your body that have lead to pancreatic cancer.

We live in a pill popping nation where there is a drug for every situation. One of the main problems with drugs is that they mask symptoms but fail to provide a cure. Drugs do their best to cover up the Cancer until the victim is covered with earth in a coffin.

The treatment for pancreatic cancer is dependent on the size of the cancer, the stage of cancer and your general health. A major consideration is the size of the cancer and whether it has spread around or is localized. For pancreatic cancer too, the best treatment is removal of the cancer through surgical procedure. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are other ways of treating pancreatic cancer.

It is very difficult to diagnose pancreatic cancer as the pancreas is so deep within the body and symptoms vary depending on the exact location of the tumor in the pancreas and which cells or function of the pancreas is affected by the tumour or cancer.

This can be done by eating foods that are either outright alkaline or foods that become alkaline after being processed by the body. Since most foods are acidic, it may be necessary to also ingest an alkaline supplement like calcium.

Pancreatic cancer occurs when abnormal, cancerous cells grow in the tissues of the pancreas mainly in the ducts that carry pancreatic juices. About 80% of pancreatic cancers occur in the "head" of the pancreas. This is the area where the common bile duct merges the pancreatic duct that carries the pancreatic juice with digestive enzymes from pancreas to the duodenum. Blend secretion of bile and pancreatic juice goes trough the opening with a muscles valve.

Pancreatic cancer has been referred to as a silent killer mainly because the early stages of pancreatic cancer usually do not cause any symptoms. If a tumor happens to block the common bile duct and prevents the bile from passing into the digestive system, both the skin and whites of the eyes may become jaundiced (yellow), and the urine may change color and become darker.

These treatments do provide temporary relief but various studies state that only 15-20% of people suffering from this disease survive for 5 years. The tumor is resistant to all kinds of treatment. Gemcitabine is believed to bring symptomatic relief but it is no cure for the tumor.

It is very difficult to diagnose pancreatic cancer as the pancreas is so deep within the body and symptoms vary depending on the exact location of the tumor in the pancreas and which cells or function of the pancreas is affected by the tumour or cancer. Unfortunately the symptoms of pancreatic cancer can also be quite vague and non specific and may be caused by many other more common and less serious conditions.
