The task of getting your site high rank in the search engine is very tricky task. It requires hard work, dedication and time to monitor the statistics of your website to update your website’s optimization to meet the changing way of search engines to rank websites. As search engines continuously crawls websites on internet for new contents and their link popularity to update their indexed pages and their rankings to provide most relevant results in the searches anybody do on the net. Reciprocal linking is the most famous and adopted and easy way to achieve better search engine ranking. Reciprocal links are the strategy to exchange links with other webmasters, in which your website generates a link to the other website, in turn other website also gives a back link to your site. This increases link popularity and ranking of both websites. The search engines are increasingly favouring sites which naturally evolve over time. This means that they are looking for more "natural links". You can obtain natural links by writing and submitting relevant articles to article directories and other article sites will result in links back to your website, but without you having to link back to them. These one-way links are much more powerful than traditional reciprocated links. However, finding and registering with directories requires a lot of patience and effort. It is often a far more time consuming process than one anticipates. Once you have found and registered with the directories, you then have to enter the article details, e.g., the title, a summary, the article itself, the author's bio box, etc; a very time-consuming process. These particular links back to your website from the articles are very precious as search engines, such as Google, consider each one a vote of confidence for the website that the links point to, thus increasing its weighting in the search engines because of the perceived popularity. Although it is a skill that many take for granted, not everyone can write. It is very common for webmasters to frequent the article directories in pursuit of free content for their own websites. They must take the article in its original state including the author's bio which includes the link back to your website. Consequently, your site receives an extra bonus as it gains extra links and ultimately increases your traffic. If the other websites that feature your article are more highly ranked sites than your own, you will also benefit from their strength. For example, say you want to promote "blue widgets" on your website but for this search term your site appears on only page 5 of the search engine results. By writing an article about "blue widgets" and submitting it to directories, you are exposing it to webmasters of higher ranking sites. They can put your article on their site and it can feature on page 1on the search engine for the search term "blue widgets". Therefore, someone searching for "blue widgets" finds your article (on another website) with a link back to your site. Your website can therefore be found for search terms that you wouldn't normally have stood a chance with. In addition, not only does submitting articles improve your ranking on the search engines, but it can also enhance your website's image. If you constantly produce articles about a particular subject, people will become more and more familiar with your name. The internet presence instils trust in people and through time you become an authority on a particular topic, which builds confidence in the website. To succeed with articles you need to invest both your time and your talent. To fulfill your objective, they must be well-structured, informative and of an easily readable length. You must bear in mind your audience whilst appealing to the webmaster's criteria.
